We are looking for a Independent Prescriber to join us at HMP Lincoln on a part time basis.
Our Lincoln Drug and Alcohol service is recruiting for an experienced Independent Prescriber to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse client group. If you are a registered Nurse or a Registered Pharmacist with experience assessing and supporting people, this might be just the role for you.
Please note that you must have successfully completed the supplementary/independent prescriber course and hold an appropriate entry on the NMC register or GPhC register to be considered for this position.

This role is part time with working hours as follows:

Weekly Monday Afternoon Clinic 14:00 - 16:00

Weekly Monday Evening Clinic 18:00 - 21:00

Monthly Friday Evening Clinic 18:00 - 21:00

Monthly Saturday Clinic 14:00 - 16:00
The Friday and Saturday clinics will be once every 4 weeks on a rolling rota basis. In addition, evening and weekend work will be required on an occasional basis to cover sickness and annual leave. The salary for this position is £43,073 - £54,106 per annum pro rata.
As a Independent Prescriber, you will be responsible for carrying out clinical assessment, diagnosis and clinical management in line with both WithYou and National regulations, policies and procedures. You will be eager to keep up to date with developments in the treatments that you are prescribing and help With You to develop, implement and evaluate the interventions we use with our clients. These include:

harm reduction; providing support and advice in relation to substance misuse
-
clinics; where we assess, screen and triage clients, advising on detoxification where appropriate
-
vaccination and blood testing programmes
You will be used to working effectively as a healthcare professional, as part of a team and collaboratively with other social care contacts to deliver the best outcomes for clients.

To be effective in this role you will:

be a Registered Nurse (NMC) OR a Registered Pharmacist (GPhC)
