Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Container Control / Office Manager to oversee daily office operations and ensure efficient management of container control processes. This role is vital in maintaining smooth administrative workflows, and coordinating logistical activities related to container handling. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a passion for streamlining operations to support our organizational goals.

Duties

Oversee container control procedures, ensuring accurate tracking, documentation, and compliance with company policies
Booking Shipping Containers in/out of the depot
Maintain and update financial records using Xero accounting software to ensure accurate invoicing and expense management
Coordinating container repairs and tracking maintenance logs
Handling operational accounts and assisting with container sales
Maintain professional phone etiquette when communicating with clients, vendors, and team members to promote positive relationships
Ordering Stock and tracking terminal equipment levels
Organize office supplies, maintain filing systems, and ensure the overall cleanliness and organization of the workspace

Skills

Extensive office experience with clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and correspondence management
Experience in logistics, shipping or container terminals highly prefered
Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—to facilitate clear internal and external interactions
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Professional phone etiquette coupled with courteous customer service skills to handle inquiries confidently

Pay: £25,420.00-£30,000.00 per year
