Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, supporting medical staff, and ensuring the well-being of patients in a clinical setting. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your skills in a supportive environment committed to patient health and safety. We are a small 18 bedded care home, looking after residents with advanced dementia and who have nursing needs.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive patient care, including administering medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians
Monitor patient vital signs and observe changes in condition, reporting any concerns promptly
Assist with medical procedures and support diagnostic tests as required
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations
Educate patients and their families on health management and post-treatment care
Collaborate effectively with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the nursing station and treatment areas
Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and health & safety standards

Skills

Proven experience in patient care within a clinical or hospital environment
Strong knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities
Must be registered with the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council and hold a valid PIN
Must have at least six months practical experience, following NMC registration
