Work base: Ysgol Pen y Bryn

Are you passionate about food, community, and making a difference in young lives?

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and committed Assistant Cook to assist the catering service at Ysgol Pen y Bryn, delivering nutritious, high-quality meals that support the wellbeing of pupils,staff, and visitors.

You’ll be at the heart of the school day, creating meals that fuel learning and bring comfort and joy to the school community.

If you’re organised, motivated, and ready to assist in a friendly kitchen setting, we’d love to hear from you.

The main duties of the post will include:
1. Organise, prepare and serve food at lunchtime for the students, staff and visitors of Ysgol Pen y
Bryn.
2. To assist cooking the meals required, portion control, food service, ordering, washing up and
cleaning of kitchen and dining room.
3. Be prepared to undergo appropriate training and development (sometimes outside normal
working days/hours by prior arrangement) i.e. Intermediate Food Hygiene and Basic Nutrition.
4. Associated clerical duties.

Due to the nature of the work, it will be necessary to obtain a satisfactory disclosure from the
Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as the Criminal Records Bureau).
