We are seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Childcare Deputy Leader to support the leadership and management of our Flying Start childcare provision.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate childcare professional who is committed to delivering high-quality care and education for young children. We are looking for a keen, enabling and trusted adult who can support provision that reflects the Rights of the Child, Flying Start Guidance and Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) National Minimum Standards.
The successful candidate will place the voice of the child at the heart of their practice, ensuring every child feels valued, respected and supported. They will champion inclusive and neurodiversity-affirming approaches, enabling children to learn, play, develop and achieve their potential within a nurturing environment.
You will have a strong understanding of child development and use this knowledge to support individual children and families. Working alongside parents, carers and partner agencies, you will help ensure children receive timely and coordinated support to meet their needs and promote positive outcomes.
The role is primarily based at Ser Ni Bynea Nursery and Ser Ni Llwynhendy; however, the successful candidate will also be required to provide management and leadership cover across Local Authority nursery settings, as required, to support service delivery.
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience of supporting and leading childcare teams and nursery provision.
Demonstrate a commitment to children's rights and wellbeing.
Promote inclusive and neurodiversity-affirming practice.
Have a sound understanding of child development and early years pedagogy.
Build positive relationships with children, families and partner agencies.
Support high standards of care, learning and safeguarding.
Contribute to service development and continuous improvement.
