We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer who combines deep technical expertise with leadership, collaboration and a passion for modern software engineering—including the responsible use of AI.
This is an opportunity to influence architecture, mentor engineers, drive engineering excellence, and help embed AI-enabled capabilities across our products and development practices.
About the Role
As a Senior Software Developer, you'll play a key role in designing and delivering complex software solutions while providing technical leadership across engineering teams. You'll work closely with Product Managers, Architects and stakeholders to translate business challenges into scalable technical solutions.
You'll champion engineering best practices, support the growth of other developers, and help shape our long-term technical direction.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the design, development and delivery of scalable, secure, high-performance software solutions.
- Drive architectural decisions and contribute to long-term technology strategy.
- Design APIs, services and database solutions that support business growth.
- Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices.
- Mentor and coach engineers while promoting engineering best practices including clean architecture, TDD and continuous delivery.
- Lead Agile ceremonies, technical planning and cross-team collaboration.
- Resolve complex technical issues and lead critical incident response.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI to improve products, engineering processes and customer outcomes.
- Champion secure software development, continuous improvement and responsible AI adoption across the engineering function.
What You'll Bring
Essential Experience & Technical Skills
You'll have strong experience in:

- Monitoring, observability and production diagnostics.
- Agile software delivery environments.
You’ll also be comfortable using modern AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude, Codex or Cursor, with a working understanding of modern AI engineering practices, including the use of hooks, agentic loops and harnesses to guide, constrain and evaluate AI output. You’ll understand both their opportunities and limitations, and ensure secure and responsible adoption.
Desirable Experience
It will be highly beneficial if you have hands-on experience productionising AI-generated code, taking it through review, testing, security and quality gates and into live, supported services, with clear human accountability for what ships.
