Description

Shaw healthcare are seeking an experienced and motivated 2nd line Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and support the delivery, maintenance, and improvement of our technology infrastructure across a multi-site environment.
The successful candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a customer-focused approach, and experience working within secure IT environments. You will play a key role in maintaining infrastructure availability, supporting cloud transformation initiatives, and ensuring systems remain secure, reliable, and compliant.

Location: St Mellons, Cardiff

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £42,000 PA

Fixed term contract for 12 months with view to become permanent

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support and troubleshooting across a multi-site IT environment.
Support and maintain infrastructure within ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus certified environments.
Assist with Azure migration projects and cloud infrastructure improvements.
Resolve incidents efficiently while meeting agreed service level targets (SLAs).
Maintain high standards of patch compliance, backup success, and system availability.
Produce and maintain accurate technical documentation.
Support security compliance initiatives and best practice standards.
Contribute to infrastructure projects and delivery milestones.
Provide excellent customer service and end-user support.

Experience and Technical Knowledge
The ideal candidate will have experience working within:

Multi-site IT environments.
ISO27001-compliant environments.
Cyber Essentials Plus-certified environments.
Azure migration and cloud technology projects.

Desirable Criteria

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
Microsoft 365 Administrator certification.
Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator certification.
Fortinet NSE / FCP certifications.
Sophos Certified Engineer certification.
