Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to support our Purchasing and Projects departments, assisting the Project Management function with various tasks, liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers and customers to facilitate the acquisition of materials and services effectively and efficiently.

Duties:

- Sending enquiries to suppliers.

- Creating purchase orders.

- Receiving and recording order confirmations.

- Expediting orders.

- Resolving invoice queries.

- Creating stock codes for new items.

- Creating new suppliers.

- Assisting with inbound and outbound freight movements.

- Maintaining the tools and equipment register and coordinating routine maintenance schedules.

- Maintaining the COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) register and ensuring records are kept up to date.

- Scanning, organising, and filing company documents in both electronic and hard copy formats.

Requirements

Experience working with ERP systems such as ProgressPlus is desirable.
Office-based work experience (desirable) .
Strong level of Math and English.
Confident user of Microsoft software.
Organised with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
Good communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively across departments.

Pay: £15,600.00-£25,350.00 per year
