<p><span><strong>Equans is looking for a Plumber to join our team at Rowanbank Clinic, Glasgow<span> </span>on a permanent basis. This is a full time<span> </span>role working 37.5<span> </span>hours per week. On offer is competitive salary and in addition you will receive an excellent benefits package.<br></strong></span></p> <p> </p> <p><span>We are seeking a skilled Plumber with a recognised apprenticeship background to join our flexible maintenance team. You will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, reliable operation and upkeep of building systems, plant, equipment, fabric, and grounds primarily at Rowanbank Clinic Glasgow, with support duties across other nearby NHS facilities as needed.</span></p> <p><span>Reporting to the Technical Services Manager through the Facilities Team Leader, you will undertake maintenance, repair, and minor project works across multiple sites. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail and use of specialist tools and precision equipment to maintain a wide range of equipment and fabric within healthcare environments.</span></p> <p><span>. <strong><br><br></strong><strong><u>What will you deliver?</u></strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span>Execute planned and reactive mechanical maintenance tasks on equipment including air handling units, calorifiers, heat stations, water and pressure systems, medical gas installations, and legionella control.</span></li> <li><span>Follow all EQUANS rules and statutory compliance requirements including Safe Operation Low Voltage, Mechanical, Pressure, Water, Medical Gas, Confined Spaces, and Scottish Health Technical Memoranda (SHTM).</span></li> <li><span>Produce and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments to manage safe working practices and Permit-to-Work issuance.</span></li> <li><span>Respond promptly to unplanned events to meet SLA requirements, minimizing downtime and avoiding contractual penalties.</span></li> <li><span>Assist with small works, variations, installations, improvements, and emergency repairs including out-of-hours duties and on-call rota participation.</span></li> <li><span>Liaise professionally with Facilities Team Leaders and NHS clients to coordinate plant or equipment failures, supply of parts, and required services.</span></li> <li><span>Maintain accurate electronic and hardcopy reports, test certificates, and task assessment sheets; suggest maintenance routine improvements.</span></li> <li><span>Use specialist and standard tools safely and maintain workshops, storage areas, and equipment in a clean, orderly state.</span></li> <li><span>Participate in training programs for new skills development and statutory compliance, including becoming an Appointed Person (AP) in relevant disciplines.</span></li> <li><span>Demonstrate teamwork by supporting colleagues and subcontractors effectively.</span></li> <li><span>Be flexible to travel to other Equans sites in the region based on business needs.</span></li> <li><span>Maintain a professional appearance and conduct in patient-facing clinical areas, respecting healthcare site protocols.</span></li> </ul> <h4><span><strong><u>What can we offer you?</u></strong></span></h4> <p> </p> <p><span>On offer is competitive salary and in addition you will receive an excellent benefits package, which includes;</span></p> <ul> <li><span>24 days annual leave (+ public holidays)</span></li> <li><span>Life Cover equivalent to 1.5<span> </span>times annual salary</span></li> <li><span>Employee discount shopping schemes on major brands and retailers</span></li> <li><span>Gym membership discounts </span></li> <li><span>Cycle to work scheme </span></li> <li><span>Holiday purchase scheme</span></li> <li><span>2 corporate social responsibility days per year</span></li> <li><span>Broad range of learning opportunities, such as professional qualifications, collective/individual training, and personalized support programmes</span></li> <li><span>Attractive Employee Referral Rewards Scheme</span></li> <li><span>Access to our growing employee networks including AccessAbility (representing those with physical and mental disabilities), Encompass (representing the LGBTQ+ community), RISE (representing people from ethnic backgrounds), WOMEN TOGETHER (representing women in Equans), Working Parents, and Young Professionals.</span></li> <li><span>24/7 Employee Assistance Program and access to mental wellbeing app</span></li> </ul> <h4><span><strong><u><br>Who are we looking for?</u></strong></span></h4> <ul> <li> <p><span>Must have successfully completed a recognised plumbing apprenticeship and have a proven experience in a similar role carrying out mechanical maintenance duties. Hospital maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>Be competent to undertake/assist work on the type of building service systems and equipment for which the appointment is sought.</span></p> <p><span>Be familiar with the type of systems and equipment on which work is required to be undertaken.</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>Possess technical knowledge and sufficient experience to avoid any danger that may be presented by the work to be undertaken.</span></p> <p><span>Have an adequate knowledge of and within the preceding three years have received training in first aid (including CPR Training). If not held, training will be given.</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>Desirable but not essential to have some knowledge of all the relevant Scottish Health Technical Memoranda (SHTM) and to work within Permit to Work procedures as appropriate (SHTM 01 - 08, BSRIA, L8, pressure systems Regulations 2000, etc).</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>This role includes a Disclosure Scotland PVG check therefore ability to pass is essential.</span></p> </li> </ul> <p><span><strong>Who are we?</strong> <br>In the UK & Ireland, Equans is a provider of sustainable facilities management and regeneration, and cutting-edge energy and digital services.
