We are looking for a friendly, organised and patient-focused Dental Nurse / Receptionist to join the team at Coleman & Starkey Dental Practice in Trowbridge, Wiltshire.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established four-surgery private dental practice with an excellent reputation for providing high-quality dental care in a friendly and relaxed environment. The role offers variety, combining clinical dental nursing with reception and patient-facing responsibilities.
You'll work closely with our clinicians and wider practice team to ensure patients receive a warm welcome and an exceptional experience from the moment they arrive. You'll provide chairside support during treatments while also supporting the reception team with appointments, patient communication and the smooth running of the practice.
Working pattern: 37 hours per week over 4 days, 8:00am–6:00pm, with a 45-minute unpaid lunch break from 1:00pm–1:45pm.

The practice is conveniently located around a five-minute walk from Trowbridge town centre, with the train station less than a mile away and direct rail links towards London. There is also a bus stop on Timbrell Street, and convenient on-street parking is available.
As a Dental Nurse / Receptionist, you'll have a varied role supporting both the clinical and reception sides of the practice.
Your responsibilities will include providing high-quality chairside support to clinicians, preparing and maintaining surgeries, ensuring instruments and equipment are ready for treatment, and maintaining high standards of infection prevention, decontamination and clinical safety.
You'll also support the reception team by welcoming patients, answering telephone enquiries, managing appointments, updating patient records and helping to ensure patients receive a friendly and professional service throughout their visit.
You'll work collaboratively with clinicians and colleagues to ensure the practice runs smoothly and efficiently, while maintaining the high standards expected of a leading private dental practice.
We're looking for someone who is:
- GDC Registered as a Dental Nurse.
- Experienced in dental nursing and confident providing chairside support.
- Friendly, approachable and passionate about delivering excellent patient care.
- Comfortable working in a patient-facing reception environment.
- Organised and able to manage a varied workload.
- Confident communicating with patients, clinicians and colleagues.
- Professional with excellent attention to detail.
- A positive team player who enjoys working collaboratively.
- Committed to maintaining high standards of infection prevention and clinical compliance.
- Flexible and willing to support both the nursing and reception functions of the practice.
- Proactive, reliable and keen to contribute to the continued success of the practice.
Previous experience within a private dental practice and experience working within a reception or front-of-house environment would be advantageous.
- Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
- 37-hour working week over 4 days.

- 6.6 weeks' annual leave.
- One additional day's holiday after 6 years of employment, increasing by one additional day as service progresses, up to a maximum of one additional week's holiday after 10 years.
