Job title: Community Engagement and Activities Coordinator

Salary: SCP 20-23 (£26,883- £29,126) per annum

Location: Fife

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

About the role

The Fife Supported Service provides highquality, personcentred support to adults aged 16 and over. We support individuals that require support due to mental health issues, learning disabilities, and substance and alcohol misuse issues to live in their own homes.

We are now looking for a Community Engagement and Activities Coordinator (CEAC) to work alongside the staff team in our Fife service. In this role, you’ll be based within the Fife service, working closely with your local team, while also being a valued member of our award-winning Community Engagement team. This wider team includes colleagues in similar roles across different services and localities, giving you the chance to share best practices, innovate together, and contribute to organisation-wide initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated individual who wants to make a real difference.

In this role, you will support people within the service and local community by planning a range of group and individual activities tailored to the preferences and needs of the people supported within the service. Through engagement and relationshipbuilding, you will help people build confidence, reduce social isolation, achieve positive outcomes, and become more connected to their local communities.

In this dynamic role, you will:

Support individuals to connect with their local communities
Co-produce meaningful activities and opportunities that enhance wellbeing and independence
Build strong partnerships across communities to widen opportunities
Ensure the service is shaped by the voices, ideas, and feedback of the people we support

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar support environment and a sound understanding of the Health and Social Care Standards. You will work in a traumainformed, objective and nondiscriminatory way, recognising the impact of trauma and supporting individuals with empathy, dignity and respect.

You will be committed to working positively with a diverse range of people, supporting individuals to live safe, fulfilling and independent lives. This role requires someone who is passionate about empowering people and improving lives, with a genuine drive to help individuals become active and valued members of their communities.

You will be skilled in building meaningful relationships and engaging with diverse groups, bringing a creative, adaptable and solutionsfocused approach to your work. You will also demonstrate a strong commitment to participation, coproduction and inclusion, ensuring people are actively involved in decisions that affect their lives.

While experience in community engagement or social care is desirable, your enthusiasm, compassion, and genuine belief in people’s potential are what truly matter most as full support and training will be provided.
