Summary of the apprenticeship
Do you love software? Enjoy coding, fixing bugs, feature requests or expanding upon in-use-systems? If so apply now!
What will the apprentice do at work?
- The primary responsibility will be fixes and enhancements on our CRM and client facing portal under the direction of our System Developer. Use of C#, HTML, CSS, JS.
- A lot of the work that is carried out in this department will originate from bug reports or new projects; but ideally the apprentice will be able to work by themselves on assigned task. The apprentice should be confident with seeking out information and answers (via AI and Google) as well as seeking support from managers.
- Sometimes we need to reverse engineering systems, so the apprentice should be able to utilise trial and error and adapt their approach to creating solutions as they go.
- Our internal CRM will be the primary work day-to-day. The apprentice should be comfortable learning new, or walking back, language and techniques that can be applied across these older applications.
- Some of the work undertaken involves already written code; whether that be fixing bugs, feature requests or expanding upon in-use-systems. They should have patience enough to analyse and learn the nuances of the systems, and confident to point out flaws and improve upon them.
- It doesn’t really matter if the apprentice has masses of coding skill; so long as they have the willingness and capacity to grow, they will be able to find their niche as they work here (designing front end applications, AI prompting, business logic etc). It’s a broad multiclass role, so they will be able to gain experience in myriad systems and languages as they go.
