Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Buying Assistant who is fluent in Mandarin to join our dynamic procurement team. In this role, you will support the purchasing process by coordinating with suppliers, managing order placements, and ensuring seamless communication across the supply chain. Your expertise in ERP systems and negotiation skills will be vital in helping us optimize inventory levels, streamline logistics, and achieve our merchandising goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced global organization dedicated to excellence and innovation.

Responsibilities

Assist with sourcing and selecting suppliers in China.
Place purchase orders accurately using our ERP systems
Coordinate logistics and shipping schedules with Chinese suppliers to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce lead times.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to secure the best value for the company.
Monitor order status and resolve any issues related to delays, shortages, or discrepancies promptly.
Maintain detailed records of procurement activities within ERP systems and ensure data accuracy.
Collaborate with merchandising teams to forecast demand and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.

Skills

Fluent in Mandarin with excellent communication skills for liaising with international suppliers.
Strong proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, SAP ERP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, or AS400 is essential.
Demonstrated experience with supply chain management, logistics coordination, and merchandising practices.
Skilled in negotiation techniques to secure favorable terms and build long-term supplier relationships.
Knowledge of procurement processes within ERP systems and familiarity with logistics operations.
Ability to analyze data, forecast demand, and make strategic purchasing decisions.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
