Warehouse Lead

NLG are a team of motivated individuals working together to prevent one of the largest causes of workplace fatalities globally — dropped objects!
We are looking for a new Warehouse Lead to join our existing operations team.
Our products are making a real difference in people's lives, and so are our people — if you fit our culture and you have the competence, we would love to have you join the team.
The role will involve
- Ensuring that all orders are dispatched on time, every time
- Picking and packing, hands-on
- Goods in an put-away of bulk (and sometimes heavy) products
- Working with logistics partners
- Export and import management, including shipping documentation
- Warehouse management
- Stock management
- Being part of a proactive team, working closely with the Operations Manager
- Being based at our head office in Poole, Dorset
- Being part of a team that enjoys what it does — including the occasional Friday social :)
You really need
- To be IT literate (not expert, just comfortable) to use spreadsheets and a standard ERP system
- To understand that detail matters — in our world, small errors can have big consequences
- To be located near Poole, Dorset
- To be driven and self-directed (not too much hand-holding required)
- To be able to work well in a team, and equally comfortable working independently
- To hold a full driving licence
Desirable
- Forklift licence (counterbalance and/or reach) — training can be provided if not already held
- Experience with export/import documentation or customs processes
Education & experience
- Education: GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
- Experience: 2 years in a stores/warehouse role (preferred)
- Experience: 2 years in stock management (preferred)
