Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and culinary arts to develop their skills and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences. The position is suitable for those with previous kitchen or restaurant experience and has a passion for delivering excellent cuisine.

The role on offer, if required could provide staff accommodation.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work station, adhering to food safety standards
Assist with meal assembly, plating, and presentation to ensure visual appeal
Follow health and safety regulations diligently, including proper food handling procedures
Support team members during busy service periods to ensure smooth operations
Restock supplies and ingredients as needed, ensuring all items are stored correctly
Participate in cleaning schedules, including sanitising surfaces and equipment at the end of shifts

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn new techniques and recipes
