Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, reliable and proactive individual to join our team as a Golf Retail Assistant in our on-site Pro Shop. The candidate will need to work occassional days (which could be on a weekday or a weekend) plus holiday cover to fit in with the staff that already work here.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting golf equipment, apparel, and accessories
Upsell products to maximise sales opportunities while maintaining excellent customer service standards
Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system, including handling cash and card payments
Provide information about products, promotions, and services offered at the golf course
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the retail area to ensure an inviting shopping environment
Communicate effectively with customers in English
Handle phone enquiries professionally, providing information or directing calls as appropriate
Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

Excellent communication skills in English
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Experience in merchandising or retail sales is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Knowledge of golf experience is also preferred but not essential
Good phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse customers
Ability to upsell products tactfully while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
Organised with good time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently
Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment is advantageous but not mandatory

This role offers a working environment within a renowned golfing facility, ideal for individuals passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and promoting quality golf products.

Pay: £13.00 per hour
