Full job description

Established in 2012, Cartime is one of the UK’s fastest growing used car dealerships. The business has enjoyed a period of growth and were now looking for positive and enthusiastic team members to join us for our next phase of growth.

We specialise in providing prestige, showroom-condition cars from all makes and models, including brands such as Audi, BMW, Range Rover, Mercedes and Jaguar. With three showrooms located across the north-west of England, we boast the largest 4x4 Centre in the North West, and have further expansion planned.

A fantastic and exciting opportunity has recently been made available for a Service Advisor based in the Bury area of Manchester.

The Role of our Service Advisor:

Greeting Service customers arriving on site for maintenance and repair
Receiving inbound service booking calls from retail customers.
Allocation of service and MOT work to individual Technicians - booking to a maximum efficiency.
Identifying opportunities to upsell and maximise profitability
Updating customers' requirements to workshop and workshop findings to customers.
Keeping customers informed re: costs and progress of their vehicle repairs.
Ensuring that all parts used are booked to jobs, that old units and warranties are noted on purchase invoices, and ensuring job cards are accurate, complete and updated
Processing payments from customers in person or over the phone.
Managing customers for their feedback and handle potential complaints
Providing quotations, creating invoices and taking payment
Handling complaints and resolving where possible, escalating where necessary
Carrying out general admin and other tasks as and when required.

What you’ll need:

A 'hands on' customer focused team player who will take complete responsibility for customers vehicles and their concerns and be able to produce industry leading customer service under pressure. The ideal candidate will have customer service experience gained within a fast-paced environment, essentially within the motor industry.

A desire to go that extra mile to help every customer
Previous experience in the Automotive Industry (essential)
Good Negotiation skills (essential)
Excellent communication skills (essential)
Self-motivated and a team player able to work within a well-established team
Previous Technical / Mechanical background (preferred)
Demonstrable experience of upselling (preferred)

Salary will be negotiable depending on experience but will start at £29,000 to £32,000 per annum.

Working hours will include 1 in 4 Saturdays 8.30am to 12.30pm.

This role would suit someone already working within the automotive industry and someone who has a basic understanding of car mechanics.

The role is subject to satisfactory references .
