Full job description

Job Title: Packaging & Stock Controller

The Role
We are looking for a reliable and organised Packaging & Stock Controller to join our team. This is a key position within our packhouse operation, ensuring the smooth coordination of packaging materials and stock control to support production.

You will work closely with production, technical teams, and management, playing a vital role in maintaining efficiency and continuity across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain stock levels of all packaging materials (punnets and related supplies)
Place orders for packaging materials in a timely and cost-effective manner
Track and update stock using Excel or stock management applications
Coordinate packaging requirements with production schedules
Communicate effectively via email and phone with suppliers and internal teams
Operate Electric Pallet Truck (EPT) and forklift equipment safely (training/certification preferred)
Support general packhouse operations as required

Requirements

Good level of spoken and written English
Strong communication skills and ability to work within a small team
Basic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Organised, dependable, and detail-oriented
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, particularly during peak seasons
Experience with stock control or packaging operations (preferred but not essential)
EPT and forklift experience (advantageous)

Working Hours

Variable hours depending on seasonal demand (higher during peak soft fruit season)
You will be working as part of a small, close-knit team
