Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and commercially focused Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial planning, reporting, and analysis to support business growth and sustainability.

This role requires strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of financial management principles. The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost control, and compliance with relevant regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work as part of the senior management within a progressive organisation committed to excellence.

Key responsibilities for this Finance Management role:

Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies aligned with organisational goals.
Oversee all aspects of financial management including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
Monitor and control costs across departments to optimise profitability and operational efficiency.
Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making processes at senior management level.
Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial reviews.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies related to financial services.
Supervise the finance team including accounts payable, payroll & data analysist fostering professional development and ensuring high standards
Collaborate with external auditors during audits and ensure timely resolution of any issues identified.

Qualifications

Proven experience in financial management within a manufacturing or retail organisation.
Strong background in financial accounting, planning, and analysis.
Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Extensive knowledge of financial services regulations and best practices.
Proficiency in financial software programmes and Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Relevant professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA are highly desirable.
