PCL Ceramics Ltd, established in 1991, is a leader in high-pressure casting systems for tableware, sanitaryware, and technical ceramics. We specialize in developing synthetic moulds, materials, equipment, and casting technology to serve the global market. We provide specialized service packages to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of our products. Located in King's Lynn, England, our company continues to grow with exciting innovative materials and systems. We have a rare opportunity to join an experienced team working in an expanding department.

Role Description

This role is ideal for a recent graduate with a competitive salary dependant upon experience. The job holder will report to the Head of Technical – Material and Moulds and be part of the New Product Development Department. They will also assist and collaborate with staff in other functions, providing technical support to all aspects of the business.

The role encompasses laboratory experimentation, small scale development work, full-scale manufacturing trials, and product performance testing.

Qualifications, Key Skills and Responsibilities

Educated to degree level as a minimum in chemistry, polymer science, material science or other related science discipline.
Develop and test new mould material recipes.
Develop and test new and existing slip recipes.
Directly test material using a range of analytical equipment.
Record and report results, clearly and concisely.
Support development projects including material formulation, testing, and performance evaluation.
Work closely with colleagues from Commercial, Quality and Operations functions as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Logical, methodical approach to problem solving.
