La Chasse is a growing foodservice distributor supplying chefs and hospitality businesses across the Southwest and London. We are looking for an experienced Night Warehouse & Logistics Manager to lead our night operation, ensuring customer orders are picked, checked, loaded and dispatched accurately and on time for next-day delivery.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing the night warehouse team, planning resources, maintaining service levels and ensuring effective communication across departments and shifts. The successful candidate will be expected to think ahead, anticipate operational demands and drive a culture of accountability, productivity and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Night Team
- Supervise, motivate and support the night warehouse team.
- Promote accountability, teamwork and high performance.
- Set clear expectations and maintain positive team morale.
Manage Daily Operations
- Oversee picking, checking, loading and replenishment activities.
- Ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain an efficient workflow throughout the shift.
Allocate Workloads
- Prioritise daily tasks and distribute workloads effectively.
- Ensure labour is utilised efficiently to meet operational deadlines.
- Adapt resources to changing workloads and priorities.
Monitor Performance
- Coach and develop team members.
- Monitor productivity, attendance and performance standards.
- Address performance or conduct issues where required.
Maintain Warehouse Standards
- Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organised and safe.
- Keep picking locations replenished and ready for the next shift.
- Promote high housekeeping standards throughout the warehouse.
Communication & Coordination
- Deliver clear and accurate shift handovers.
- Liaise with Transport, Sales, Purchasing and the Day Warehouse.
- Escalate operational issues promptly and professionally.
Stock Control
- Assist with stock counts and inventory checks.
- Investigate stock discrepancies.
- Help reduce picking errors, damages and waste.
Health & Safety
- Lead by example in maintaining a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and food safety procedures.
- Report equipment faults and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Resolve Operational Issues
- Identify potential problems before they impact service.
- Make informed decisions to minimise disruption.
- Escalate significant issues where appropriate.

Working Hours & Flexibility
- Flexible Shift Pattern
- The role may operate on either a Sunday–Thursday or Monday–Friday schedule depending on operational requirements.

The successful candidate will be expected to work across different parts of the shift as required to support the team, understand operational challenges and maintain high standards throughout the warehouse operation.
