Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispenser to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. Duties
- Accurately dispense medications according to prescriptions while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on medication usage.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure the proper administration of medications.
- Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and inventory management.
- Assist in the preparation of medication orders and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in patient education initiatives regarding medication administration and potential side effects.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in patient care is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medication administration processes is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- NVQ level 2 dispenser or equivalent is essential.
