Overview
We are seeking a diligent and efficient Picker & Packer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are accurately packed and prepared for shipment. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality control. A positive, enthusiastic attitude and ability to adhere to instructions is essential with a keen eye for detail.
Duties
- Load and unload products from lorries and containers, ensuring safe handling at all times.
- Conduct quality control checks to verify that products meet established standards before packing.
- Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels effectively.
- Perform picking and packing tasks with precision, ensuring that orders are fulfilled accurately.
- Handle materials safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols within the warehouse environment.
- Engage in heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Computer competent ensuring accuracy when shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, contributing to overall warehouse efficiency.
- Adherence to Health & Safety and company policies.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment operation is beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independence is required.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control throughout the packing process.
- Ability to speak and understand English is essential as you will need to read off picking sheets, ship orders and deal with customers in the cash & carry.
