Abbey Vet Clinic is looking for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, supportive, and forward-thinking team in Arbroath.

You will enjoy a varied and rewarding first opinion caseload, with genuine clinical freedom to work cases to a high standard. The work includes a broad mix of routine and more complex medical and surgical cases such as pyometras, lump removals, GI foreign bodies, and dentistry. The practice also works closely with Cats Protection, running a dedicated cat clinic that adds further variety to the caseload.

As a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon, you will contribute to delivering high-quality patient and client care across a varied caseload.
- Deliver consultations, diagnostics, medical and surgical treatment
- Manage routine and complex first opinion cases
- Perform procedures including soft tissue surgery and dentistry
- Work collaboratively with a supportive veterinary and nursing team
- Contribute to clinical standards and ongoing practice development
- Participate in a shared Saturday morning rota
- No out-of-hours requirement
Working Pattern:
- Full-time: 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days (flexible)
- Flexible and part-time working options available
- Saturday morning rota shared fairly across the team
- No OOH commitment

You are a confident and experienced small animal veterinary surgeon looking for a supportive practice where you can develop clinically and professionally. You’ll bring:
- A Veterinary degree and RCVS registration (or eligibility)
- Experience in small animal first opinion practice
- Confidence managing routine and more complex cases
- Strong surgical and medical skills
- A collaborative and team-focused approach
