Café Supervisor – FULL TIME
Bowring Park Cafe located in Bowring Park, Wellington. Open 7 days per week serving breakfast, brunch and lunch.
We are recruiting for an experienced Supervisor with a proven background in the industry to join our expanding team. Previous supervisory experience in a similar role is required along with experience in the cooking and food side of a café operation. Working in conjunction with another cafe supervisor you will be resposnsible for the supervision of 20+ employees where your duties and tasks will include staff training, daily opening and closing procedures, cashing-up, general cleanliness and completing daily/weekly/monthly deep cleaning procedures.

The shifts will be a mixture of weekdays and weekends.
The hands-on role will require someone who can be front of house, use a coffee machine and equally confident in the preparation of food items and cooking and plating dishes.
We pride ourselves on quality ingredients and making things in-house. We make all our own burgers, relishes, soups, curries, and chillies.
Customers are the heartbeat of our business therefore it is essential the successful candidate is engaging, friendly, helpful and puts customers first!
The role is for 4-5 shifts per week, in the region of 24-35 hours with scope for more hours during the holidays. Hours of work are typically 8.00am to 3.30pm with extended hours during the summer months.
PLEASE NOTE - Before applying, you must be able to get to TF1 1QX and be able to work both weekdays and weekends and be flexible as the shifts will be a mix of weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in serving and hospitality roles
- Strong food preparation skills with a focus on food safety
- Previous restaurant experience, preferably in a café setting
- Barista experience is required
- Knowledge of catering practices and customer service excellence
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment leading a team
