Full job description

Overview:

Are you a BACP registered or accredited counsellor (to a minimum of level 4) or a second-year counselling student on a level 4 (or above) diploma? Do you want to work in an environment where you can use your counselling skills to achieve the best for people?

We are looking for volunteers who would like the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people who are directly and indirectly affected by alcohol and substance use. You will be expected to work in accordance with BACP guidelines and within our framework for counselling services, which promotes therapeutic safety and sound clinical governance.

The bases from this role will be in Northern and Eastern Lancashire, including Accrington, Lancaster and Fylde Coast.

**At this time, we are not able to accept counselling students, who are in the process of gaining their qualifications.

Responsibilities:

Providing counselling within the principles and boundaries of confidentiality.
Maintaining appropriate boundaries in the therapeutic relationship.
Working within your level of competency.
Delivering counselling within a time-limited framework.
Ensuring timely records in line with our information governance requirements.
Receiving regular clinical supervision and line management.
Following our policies and procedures e.g., safeguarding children and adults.
Understanding and follow BACP ethical frameworks and codes of practice.
