Full job description

We're looking for a creative, enthusiastic Social Media Executive to join our small but rapidly growing marketing team, working with an exciting client base within a fast-paced niche sector.

This isn't a role where you'll be given a generic content calendar to copy and paste across every account. We're looking for someone who can really get to know each client, understand their business and build a distinctive social media presence around their brand.

The role

You'll take ownership of organic social media across a number of client accounts, including:

Creating engaging and original monthly content plans
Developing a distinctive social media identity and tone for each client
Scheduling and publishing content across social platforms
Identifying opportunities for reactive and timely content
Keeping on top of client activity and posting when opportunities arise
Generating creative ideas for Reels, Stories, posts and other organic content
Looking at what's working and continually developing each client's social strategy
Keeping up with social media trends and finding creative ways to apply them to individual clients
Managing your own workload and ensuring content is planned and delivered on time

Who we're looking for

Previous social media or marketing experience is important, but we're equally interested in your ability, creativity and attitude.

You'll be someone who:

Is naturally creative and enjoys thinking outside the box
Has a strong understanding of social media and what makes people stop scrolling
Can demonstrate previous experience managing or creating content for social media
Has excellent initiative
Understands that different brands need completely different personalities — one size does not fit all
Can independently manage multiple client accounts and competing priorities
Has excellent organisation and time management skills
Is enthusiastic, ambitious and genuinely wants to do well
Is comfortable working in a fast moving environment where priorities can sometimes change
Is reliable and takes ownership of their work

How we work

We're a small, ambitious team with a rapidly growing client base, so you'll have the opportunity to become an important part of the business rather than simply another person within a large marketing department.

We're very flexible about when you work. There aren't rigid set hours each day, what matters to us is that the work gets done to a high standard and deadlines are met. In return for that flexibility, we need someone who can also be flexible when the role requires it. Social media doesn't always happen neatly between 9am and 5pm, and there may occasionally be content that needs to go live or an opportunity that needs responding to at a particular time.

We want someone we can trust to manage that responsibility independently.

Opportunity to grow

This role will initially be 16-20 hours per week, but we're introducing and growing our organic social media service across our client base, so there is a genuine opportunity for the position to develop into a full time role as the service grows.

Our ideal candidate will be excited by the opportunity to make the role their own and ultimately progress to full time.

Pay: £15 per hour
