Brief Job Description

Responsible for maintenance issues within the hotel.
Perform daily checks around the hotel.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment within the hotel.
Ensure good relationships are built with internal and external customers.
Maintenance of all hotel fixtures and fittings to ensure they are in safe condition and take action when any unsafe situations arise.
Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
Responsible for all aspects of health and safety within the department and assisting with fire safety in the hotel.
Ensure weekly, monthly & quarterly safety inspections take place and employees are trained accordingly.
Procurement and management of stock/parts in line with company procedure.
Knowledgeable in general building maintenance, electrical and plumbing.As maintenance manager you will pro-actively lead the maintenance team with a ‘hands-on’ approach, carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks correctly and efficiently ensuring a safe environment for guests, visitors and employees.
Experience from a luxury hotel background is preferable, 2 year experience within hotel or property maintenance.
The Maintenance Manager will have a thorough knowledge of all plant and equipment in the hotel and maintain these in efficient working order by following routine maintenance procedures. You will also carry out short term (reactive) maintenance and decorating work e.g. repairs affecting guest bedrooms and services as a matter of urgency but adhering to all safety procedures and causing minimum disruption to guests.
