Job description:

Overview

A busy and growing Industrial Packaging Company located in the Newton Heath area of Manchester is seeking a competent Transport Planning Administrator who will be involved in both customer service and administration.

The candidate must have strong computer skills, working primarily in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience working on SAGE Accounts is advantageous but not essential.

Daily tasks will include:

· Planning day-to-day routes for drivers

· Communicating with production

· Site paperwork

· Dealing with drivers and customer communication.

· Transport maintenance of four vehicles.

· Managing and maintaining Driver Records including working hours.

· Weekly vehicle checks

· Processing collections onto a database throughout the day

· Ensuring Customers are up to date and KPIS are followed

· Pairing up collections from various locations

· Passing orders to 3rd party haulier

· Managing day-to-day relationship with Haulier ensuring KPIS is followed

· Organizing product transfer between second site

· Monthly customer reporting

Customer Service

· Processing orders for customer when required

· Weekly Ring Rounds to customers

· Building a relationship with customers via phone. Anyone wanting to work purely via email; this is not the role for you!

General Office Tasks

· Stock Takes for offices items

· Raising Purchase Orders

· Ensuring offices are maintained

Managing a busy and ever-changing transport planner is a key part of the role and so you must be able to work under pressure. Dealing with drivers and site operators on a day-to-day basis.

The role will include support to accounts during month-end closure along with some daily inputting functions. Placing orders when necessary for the site. The position will also be responsible for a number of reports which are created on a monthly basis. Managing your time and checking paperwork will be a crucial element of your job and so you must feel comfortable in sending reports on for senior management review.

This role is ideal for someone seeking a varied, busy, and rewarding role that offers constant opportunity for development within a commercial setting. We are looking for someone with the right personality to fit within a small team and who can grow with the company. The role is based on working Monday to Friday 8:30 - 5:30.
