Full job description

Job Title: Customer Solution Architect – CC1 Product

Salary: Up to £60k

Reports to: Head of Service Performance

Office based in Knutsford, 40 hours per week

Must have full right to work as this position is not eligible for sponsorship

Skills & Experience Essential

Proven experience in a customer-facing Solution Architect or Technical Consultant role

• Strong experience producing customer-facing HLDs and LLDs

Experience designing SaaS or managed service solutions

• Understanding of regulated or compliance-driven environments

• Excellent customer communication, workshop facilitation, and presentation skills

• Ability to balance customer requirements with product and service constraints

Desirable

• Experience with compliance, archiving, or regulated data platforms

• Exposure to financial services or regulated communications environments

Experience supporting technical pre-sales or complex customer onboarding

Familiarity with structured service delivery or professional services models Personal Attributes

• Strong customer-first mindset

Confident, credible, and consultative in customer engagements

Structured and detail-oriented in design documentation

• Comfortable managing multiple customer designs concurrently

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in:

• Computer Science

• Software Engineering

• Information Systems

• Engineering

Or a related technical field or relevant business experience

Expected knowledge:

Cloud platforms (one or more of) AWS, Azure, Google Cloud

System architecture and design: APIs, microservices, integrations, Data flows, scalability, security

Infrastructure concepts: Networking, authentication, IAM Containers (Docker, Kubernetes)

Understanding of: DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines Databases (SQL and NoSQL)

Certifications:

AWS Certified Solutions Architect

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert

• Google Professional Cloud Architect

• TOGAF (for enterprise-focused roles) 3–8+ years in roles such as

: • Solutions Architect

Sales Engineer / Pre-Sales Engineer

Technical Consultant

• Implementation Architect Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Master’s degree (MBA or MSc)

• Agile / Scrum certifications

• ITIL (for service-oriented environments) • Experience with RFPs, proposals, and SOWs
