Recruitment Assistant

Location: Wallsend
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Sector: Utilities and Sustainability
Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience

We are looking for a driven and commercially minded Recruitment Assistant to join our team in Wallsend. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career within the fast-growing Utilities and Sustainability sector, working in a supportive environment where success is recognised and rewarded.

You will work closely with and provide day-to-day support to our Head of People and Culture, assisting with recruitment activities across the business. You will help source high-quality candidates, build strong relationships and deliver an excellent experience for candidates and hiring managers.

Key responsibilities

Supporting the Head of People and Culture with recruitment activities and wider people-related projects
Sourcing and approaching suitable candidates through job boards, social media and networking
Screening applications and conducting initial candidate interviews
Coordinating interviews and supporting the offer and onboarding processes
Building and maintaining strong candidate relationships
Developing an understanding of recruitment requirements and market trends
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date recruitment records
Working towards individual and team targets

About you

Relevant experience is essential. You will have either:

Experience and market knowledge within the Utilities and Sustainability sector; or
Strong recruitment experience, with a proven ability to source candidates and build professional relationships

You will be organised, confident and proactive, with excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to succeed in recruitment. You will also be comfortable working closely with senior colleagues and managing multiple priorities.
