Graduate Structural Engineer

Are you an ambitious and highly motivated Graduate Structural Engineer, experienced or ready to start your career after university, looking for a secure role offering great opportunities to progress and train?

The Role

work on a diverse and interesting range of projects throughout the southwest and across different sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, education and health.
working with exceptional colleagues on the structural design of challenging projects that will improve your knowledge and understanding of structural engineering.
Liaise and co-ordinate with our infrastructure, highways and drainage engineers and you will be involved in every aspect of scheme development, preliminary and detailed designs and project management.
produce drawings using AutoCAD or Revit
prepare structural design calculations on a project basis using the current Eurocodes, BS

Standards and Approved Codes of Practice

You will assist with coordinating the structural and civil engineering aspects of the design process
liaise with other engineering disciplines within the practice
Accompany senior engineers to site visits/meetings

The Candidate

relevant BEng/MEng in Engineering
12 months experience working in an engineering environment (preferable but not essential)
Enthusiastic self-motivated team player
good verbal and written communication skills
strong work ethic
ability to work under own initiative
A working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
