Full job description

About the Role

Keystone Lintels is looking for an experienced and motivated Yard Team Leader to join our team. You’ll play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day running of the yard, ensuring orders are prepared efficiently, stock is organised and the team operates safely and effectively.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who can lead by example, communicate well and keep things moving in a busy working environment.

What you’ll be doing

Leading and supporting the yard team on a day-to-day basis
Organising workloads and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently
Coordinating the loading and unloading of deliveries
Ensuring customer orders are picked, checked and prepared for dispatch
Maintaining accurate stock levels and reporting any issues
Ensuring the yard is kept clean, tidy and well organised
Monitoring and maintaining high standards of health and safety
Training, supporting and motivating team members
Operating yard equipment safely and ensuring team members follow procedures
Working closely with production, transport and management teams
Helping to resolve day-to-day operational issues
Ensuring company standards and procedures are followed at all times

What you’ll need to succeed

Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, construction or manufacturing environment
Previous team leader or supervisory experience is desirable
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Excellent communication and people skills
A proactive approach to problem-solving
Good attention to detail
The ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
A strong understanding of health and safety
Forklift experience/certification would be an advantage
A positive attitude and willingness to lead by example
