We have a fantastic opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join the Primary Care team at HMP Bure. HMP Bure is a Category C prison based in Norwich.

HMP Bure is a busy male prison which a capacity for around 650 inmates. There is parking on site.

Hours

37.5 hours per week on a rolling 8 week rota basis

Monday - Thursday - 0800 - 1930

Friday - Sunday - 0800 -1730

Some occasional weekend working required.

Salary

This role is full time and we offer a salary of up to £29,723 per annum.

What you'll be doing

As our new Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:

Deliver exceptional care to patients, both in the healthcare department and on the wings
Facilitate clinics, including bloods, observations (obs), ECGs, NHS Health checks etc
Be involved in the implementation of clinical care packages
Support the nursing team with all aspects of care
Act as a second checker in pharmacy as required

Ideally hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, or Care Certificate
