Horizon Wiring is a specialist wiring harness manufacturer supporting the motorsport and marine industries. With over 40 years of collective industry experience, our team delivers innovative, high-performance electrical solutions for demanding environments. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a Trainee Design Engineer to join our engineering team and develop a rewarding career within a fast-paced and exciting sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused individual who is eager to learn, develop technical skills, and gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the creation and maintenance of engineering drawings and design documentation.
Support the engineering team with project planning and document control.
Produce clear and accurate drawings using engineering software.
Help maintain technical records and project files.
Work closely with colleagues to ensure designs meet customer and project requirements.
Ensure all work is completed accurately and to a high standard.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

Good computer literacy and confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with Microsoft Visio (beneficial but not essential).
A methodical and structured approach to work.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
An interest in engineering, motorsport, marine technology, or technical design.
