Location: Hucknall, Nottinghamshire
Position: Permanent
Salary: £14 – £17/annum pension

M-Tech Engineering – Specialists in Staircase & Balustrade Manufacturing.

M-Tech Engineering are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Fabrication Quality Inspector to join our growing team. We specialise in the manufacture of high-quality staircases and balustrade systems for commercial and residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out dimensional inspections of fabrications prior to welding and after welding completion
Inspect incoming materials for quality, specification, and quantity
Ensure fabricated components meet drawing and customer requirements
Record inspection results and report any non-conformances
Work closely with fabrication and welding teams to maintain quality standards
Support continuous improvement within the manufacturing process

Requirements:

Previous experience in a fabrication or engineering inspection role
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong attention to detail and quality standards
Good communication and organisational skills
Experience within structural steel, staircases, or balustrade manufacturing would be advantageous
WPS qualification or welding procedure knowledge would be beneficial
