Full job description

Experienced MET Technician

Pay: From £18.50 per hour, depending on experience, plus monthly productivity bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday, with a choice of 6:00am–3:00pm, 7:00am–4:00pm or 8:00am–5:00pm
Optional weekend overtime may be available.

M&E Accident Repair Centre is an independent, manufacturer-approved bodyshop operating to BS 10125:2022 standards. We are looking for an experienced MET Technician to join our busy workshop in Leicester.

The Role

Strip and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components on accident-damaged vehicles.
Remove and refit suspension, steering, braking, cooling and other vehicle components.
Safely remove and refit EV and hybrid vehicle components where trained and authorised.
Carry out diagnostic checks and identify accident-related damage.
Complete four-wheel alignment checks and adjustments.
Follow job cards and manufacturer repair methods.
Report additional damage and parts requirements.
Check the quality of your own work and complete repairs within agreed times.

What We’re Looking For

Previous MET Technician or Strip Fitter experience within an accident repair centre or bodyshop.
Strong mechanical knowledge and confident strip-and-refit skills.
Experience with suspension, steering, braking and wheel alignment.
Ability to work independently while maintaining high quality and productivity.
Your own tools.
ATA, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential.
Experience working with EV and hybrid vehicle components is desirable.
