Full job description

ASL Solicitors is a well established CQS accredited firm and on the majority of the lender panels. We are currently seeking a Residential Property Assistant/Paralegal due to the continued growth in our Conveyancing department. You will be required to provide a high level of service to our loyal client base and strong business relationships.

With a strong focus on training and development, we have been accredited by Investors in People for a number of years. This role is suited for any individual looking to progress their career as the firm will offer a route to qualification within 6-12 months.

Job description

You will be assisting on a varied residential caseload which will lead to eventually managing your own caseload. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth-running process of the conveyancing process from inception to completion.

The candidate is required to have experience in leasehold/freehold purchase and sales. New build experience would be desirable.

Dealing with enquiries from clients, estate agents, brokers and solicitors and providing a regular update.

Submitting searches, drafting stamp duty and land tax reforms.

Preparing post completion documentation for HM Land Registry registration purposes.

Drafting documents such as certificate of title, post exchange letters, transfer of ownership, requesting and inputting redemption figures, chasing monies from lenders and client's etc

Experience in leasehold and flat purchases

Must be confident on the phone and experience in Proclaim Case Management system will be an advantage.

At least 1 years experience is necessary.
