Job Title: Service Manager – Homeless Hostels
Location: Bedford, Bedfordshire
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £30,000 – £34,000 per year (depending on experience)

About Us

We are a leading provider supporting vulnerable people with accommodation and support. We operate high-quality residential hostels in Bedford. We support individuals experiencing homelessness. Our mission is providing safe accommodation. We deliver trauma-informed support. We help residents rebuild lives and transition to independent living.

We seek an experienced Service Manager. You will oversee daily operations of our Bedford hostels. You will lead a dedicated support team. You will ensure safety, compliance, and high support standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Teams: Line-manage support workers, project assistants, and night staff.
Manage Budgets: Oversee service budgets, rent collection, and petty cash.
Ensure Compliance: Meet all health, safety, and safeguarding regulations.
Build Partnerships: Work closely with Partners.
Improve Services: Implement trauma-informed support practices across all sites.
Manage Incidents: Handle crisis situations and complex behavioral challenges calmly.

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 2 years managing supported housing or homeless services.
Leadership: Proven track record of managing and motivating a team.
Knowledge: Deep understanding of safeguarding, housing laws.
Skills: Excellent crisis management, communication, and IT skills.
Vetting: Enhanced DBS check required before starting.
Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Adult Care
Level 4 Certificate in Homelessness Services Management or Working towards this
Driving is Mandatory
