About the Role
As a Clinical Lead, you will provide clinical leadership, professional guidance and operational support within the Home while helping promote high standards of nursing practice, resident care and clinical governance.
You will work closely with the Home Manager, Deputy Manager, nursing teams and wider colleagues to support safe, effective and person-centred care delivery, while contributing to quality improvement, workforce development and positive resident outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced registered nurse looking to further develop their leadership skills while making a meaningful impact on resident wellbeing and service quality.
About The Role
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Resident Care

Support the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred nursing care.

Promote resident wellbeing, dignity, independence and positive clinical outcomes.

Provide clinical guidance and support in response to changing resident needs and clinical concerns.

Support assessment, care planning, risk management and resident reviews.
Team Development & Professional Support
-
Provide visible clinical leadership and professional support to nursing and care teams.
-
Support supervision, mentoring, induction and staff development activities.
-
Promote professionalism, accountability and continuous learning.

Assist with shift coordination and delegation of duties where required.
Communication & Multidisciplinary Working
-
Develop positive relationships with residents, families and external professionals.

Participate in handovers, reviews, meetings and multidisciplinary discussions.

Communicate clinical information accurately and professionally.

Escalate safeguarding, operational or clinical concerns appropriately.
Governance, Quality & Professional Standards

Support medicines management, clinical governance and quality assurance activities

Maintain accurate documentation and professional records.

Contribute to audits, inspections, investigations and improvement initiatives.

Promote compliance with NMC standards, organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for individuals who are:

Registered Nurses (RN, RMN or RNLD) with active NMC registration
-
Experienced within regulated healthcare, nursing or care environments, with a minimum of two years' post-registration experience

Professional, clinically credible and confident leaders

Passionate about delivering high-quality care and supporting others to succeed

Strong communicators with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills

Required Criteria
-
Registered Nurse on the live NMC Register appropriate to the role and service requirements ([Delete as applicable: RN / RMN / RNLD]).

GCSE Grade C or above in English & Maths, or equivalent qualification; OR demonstrable literacy, numeracy and communication skills appropriate to the role
-
Evidence of ongoing professional development and compliance with NMC revalidation requirements where applicable.
-
Minimum of 2 years’ post-registration nursing experience within a regulated healthcare, nursing or care environment.
-
Experience supporting, supervising or coordinating nursing and care teams within a regulated care setting.
-
Demonstrable clinical knowledge and understanding of person-centred care, safeguarding, governance, risk management and professional nursing responsibilities.
-
Experience supporting residents with dementia, elderly care needs, mental health conditions, physical disabilities or complex care needs where applicable.
-
Understanding of clinical governance, medication management, audit activity and quality improvement processes within a regulated care environment.
Desired Criteria
-
Relevant leadership, mentorship or clinical supervision training.
-
Awareness of RQIA standards, nursing home regulations and governance frameworks.
-
Experience supporting induction, supervision or development of nursing and care staff.

Experience supporting inspections, audits, safeguarding processes or quality improvement initiatives within a regulated service.

Experience participating in multidisciplinary meetings, safeguarding processes, inspections or service reviews.
