This role is for a fixed term period from September 2026 to July 2027 in the first instance.
Silcoates is a successful independent co-educational day school with a long and proud history. We achieve excellent academic results and offer a broad and stimulating variety of co-curricular activities. We are seeking to appoint a minibus driver to drive regular routes transporting our pupils to and from school.
The school is set in 50 acres of grounds in Wrenthorpe, near Wakefield, within easy reach of the M1 and M62, offering an all-through, fully co-educational day school experience for children from 3 to 18.
You will be responsible for providing a regular, reliable minibus service for our pupils and will need to work well as part of a small and committed team. Your duties will include driving, ensuring your vehicle is clean and compliant and taking part in regular team meetings.
Candidates should be reliable and punctual, friendly and able to relate well to our pupils, families and colleagues. You will need a clean driving licence with a D1 category or a relevant MIDAS qualification.
You will be paid £13.15 per hour. Shifts will be Monday- Friday, 25 hours per week: 06.30am to 09.00am and 3.30 to 6pm.
