Full job description

Part-time gardener

Green Goose are a small and friendly garden design, landscaping and gardening business working in Brighton and Hove.

We are looking for an experienced gardener.

MUST have a good level of gardening experience, horticulture & plant knowledge. MUST have good plant knowledge and know the right time & method to prune key plants. Please show this on your CV, as this is the only place we can see you experience in our application previews, otherwise we will have to reject.

Jobs will include pruning (first identifying plants), mowing, hedge cutting, weeding, planting out, general garden tidying, etc. Will need to be able to lift a small mower (20 Kg), tools, compost bags, etc.

Any experience of pruning small trees would be useful. Occasionally, work on landscaping jobs/garden builds may be available.

MUST have driving license and access to a vehicle, and one that has room for a small lawn mower, as some independent work will be required.

Will initially work with me and/or my partner and then frequently on their own.

Flexible hours available and hours will depend on client/seasonal needs. Work available week days and between 9-5. Slots available can be as little as 1 or 2 hours, and up to a full day. Local applicants only.

Hourly rate £16 to £20 p/h, dependant on experience and skill, and whether you have your own tools (mower, long reach hedge strimmer, ladder, etc).

Pay: £16.00-£20.00 per hour
