Full job description

Hours of Work: 12.5 hours per week (possibly could extend hours per day to cover staff lunches)

Location: Bloomfield Nursery, Bloomfield Community Centre, Narberth

Qualifications needed: Minimum level 2 in Childcare

Purpose of Job:

The practitioner will be supporting a child who has ALN and is attending the nursery term time only.

Main Duties:

- Assist in ensuring the provision of a safe, stimulating early years environment in which children are able to learn and play through planned activities.

· Assist in the planning preparation and delivery of activities that meet children’s individual developmental needs in line with the settings curriculum.

Liaise with healthcare professionals and other community professionals that are involved with the individual child.

· Assist in following guidelines and procedures for child protection and safeguarding as recommended by the registering authority.

· Assist in implementing procedures for children with additional needs.

· Take an active part in team meetings, planning and preparation of activities.

· Assist where directed in liaising with parents, schools and outside agencies.

· Encourage parental involvement and support of the setting.

· Assist in ensuring all administration is up to date.

· Assist where directed, in ensuring records and systems are maintained.

· Assist in carrying out and maintaining risk assessments and policies.

· Attend regular training to keep updated on legislation and for personal development.

Hours: 12.5 per week. Term time only

Work remotely

Pay: Up to £12.81 per hour
