Full job description

Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join the team at Carlisle Sight Support, who will contribute to the continued success of a charity that provides information, advice and practical and emotional support to visually impaired people in our community.

Experience of working in the charitable sector and managing or supervising staff is desirable.

Responsibilities

Supporting charity governance
Facilitating trustee meetings and Annual General Meeting
Completing annual returns, ensuring compliance with the Charity Commission
Providing effective leadership and planning
Representing the charity with other partners and stakeholders
Supervising existing staff
Monitoring charity finances and planning future budgets
Ensuring building and resources are legally compliant
Being responsible for securing grant funding (where required)
