As we continue to grow our direct labour capability and strengthen our delivery standards, we are looking to appoint a Quality Control & Commissioning Engineer to play a key role in maintaining and improving the quality of our installations across the UK.
Role Overview
This is a hands-on, field-based role focused on quality control, commissioning, and technical support across Audiebant installations.
You will be responsible for reviewing completed installations, ensuring they meet company standards, identifying and resolving issues, and supporting engineers and subcontractors in delivering high-quality work. You will also play a key role in commissioning systems, completing snagging and remedial tasks, and providing on-site technical support where required.
The role is customer-facing and requires a confident, professional individual who can represent Audiebant on site, communicate effectively, and uphold high standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out quality control inspections on completed and ongoing installations to ensure work meets Audiebant standards
- Identify, document, and manage snagging and remedial actions, ensuring timely resolution
- Commission systems on site, ensuring full functionality and performance prior to handover
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to installation engineers and subcontractors to maintain and improve quality
- Attend sites to investigate technical issues, faults, or customer concerns, and support resolution
- Undertake hands-on remedial work where required, including adjustments, corrections, or small installation tasks
- Support installation teams on-site during key phases of projects where additional technical input is required
- Represent Audiebant professionally in customer-facing environments, ensuring a high level of service and communication
- Maintain accurate records of site visits, quality reports, and commissioning documentation
- Occasionally support with technical surveys or site assessments where required
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a field-based engineering or installation role, ideally within: AV systems, Data cabling, PA/VA systems and/or Security or communications systems.
- Strong understanding of installation standards and best practices, including cable management and system setup
- Experience with commissioning, fault-finding, and troubleshooting
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality
- Confident and professional communication skills, particularly in face-to-face customer environments
- Ability to work independently and make decisions on-site
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple site visits and priorities
Qualifications & Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence – essential
- CSCS Card – desirable
- Enhanced DBS Certificate, or willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
- Willingness to travel across the UK and stay away from home when required
Desirable Experience
- Experience working in education, healthcare, or public sector environments
- Familiarity with IP-based systems or integrated communication platforms
- Experience working with quality control processes or site inspections
- Exposure to technical surveys or pre-installation planning

Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
