Ardencote Hotel & Spa is seeking an exceptional Spa Therapy & Retail Manager to lead and develop our Therapy and Retail departments, ensuring outstanding guest experiences while driving commercial success.
This is a pivotal leadership role for an ambitious, commercially minded spa professional who thrives in a luxury hospitality environment. You will be responsible for the operational and financial performance of both departments, leading a talented team to deliver exceptional service standards, maximise revenue opportunities, and create memorable guest journeys.
Working closely with the Head of Spa and wider hotel leadership team, you will play a key role in shaping the future success of our spa offering while maintaining the luxury standards that Ardencote is renowned for.
What You'll Be Doing
Leading Operational Excellence
- Overseeing the day-to-day management of the Therapy and Retail departments
- Ensuring the highest standards of service delivery, presentation and professionalism
- Managing treatment room utilisation and operational efficiency
- Supporting spa events, promotions and business initiatives
- Leading by example through active involvement in daily operations, including weekends and shift management
Driving Commercial Performance
- Delivering revenue growth across therapy treatments and retail sales
- Monitoring departmental performance against budgets, forecasts and KPIs
- Implementing strategies to maximise treatment bookings and retail spend
- Analysing business performance and identify opportunities for growth
- Maintaining effective stock control, purchasing and inventory management
Enhancing the Guest Experience
- Creating a seamless, personalised and memorable spa journey for every guest
- Ensuring all guest interactions reflect Ardencote's luxury service standards
- Managing guest feedback and resolve concerns professionally and effectively
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve service delivery and guest satisfaction
Developing High-Performing Teams
- Leading recruitment, onboarding, training and development of Therapy and Retail teams
- Coaching, motivating and inspiring colleagues to achieve their full potential
- Conducting performance reviews and support career development planning
- Creating a positive, inclusive and professional working environment
- Managing rotas and payroll in line with business needs and budgets
Maintaining Compliance & Standards
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company policies
- Upholding high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and operational safety
- Maintaining accurate records and support audit requirements
- Championing a safe and secure environment for guests and team members
About You
We're looking for a passionate and experienced leader who brings:
- Have previous management experience within a luxury spa, wellness, hospitality or retail environment
- Excellent commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, payroll and KPIs
- Proven ability to drive retail performance and revenue growth
- Excellent people leadership, coaching and team development skills
- Outstanding guest service and relationship-building abilities
- Excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving skills
- Confidence working in a fast-paced, hands-on operational role
- Knowledge of Health & Safety, compliance and spa operational standards
Further Information:
- Full-time: Working 45 hours per week

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Full flexibility is key as you will be expected to work as and when necessary to meet the needs of the team and the business
