Care Assistant - Complex Care (Peterborough, Cambridgeshire)

£15.20 / £18 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
Night shifts available

At Harmony Healthcare, we believe exceptional care is delivered by exceptional people. We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Healthcare Assistant to support our young adult client in Leigh-On-Sea. Your care will enable them to live safely, confidently, and with dignity in their own home.

This is a meaningful 2:1 role where you can genuinely see the impact of the support you provide.

About the Client

Our client is a young 17 year old girl with Complex care requirements who lives at home with her mother, father and older brother. She is a very happy a bubbly girl, she is non-verbal but can smile and make sounds and be interactive. She loves being spoken to and having fun people around her.

Clinical Requirements

Staff should have specialist expertise in supporting individuals with:

Experience with Children
Cough assist competency
PEG - / Medication via Jejunostomy
Non invasive ventilation
Paediatric Moving and Assisting Competency
Paediatric administration of Suppositories Competency
Oral Suctioning
Brain injury experience
Seizure management
Skin integrity Competency

Shifts Available

We offer consistent and predictable shifts to support your work–life balance and financial stability.

Night shifts - 20:00 - 08:00

(Current urgency for weekend cover)

What the Role Involves

• Delivering compassionate 1:1 care in the client’s home • Comforting the client when unsettled

Supporting with community access and social activities
Promoting independence and dignity in all tasks
Providing emotional reassurance and wellbeing support
Communicating effectively with the clinical, care, and coordination teams

Your presence will help the client feel safe, supported and in control of their daily routine.

Experience supporting children with complex care needs.
Strong communication and reliability, with the ability to build trusting relationships with both clients and there guardians.
Empathy, emotional intelligence and person-centred values
Ability to work independently and professionally

Referral Bonus

£150 for every Healthcare Assistant you refer
£250 for every Registered Nurse you refer

Paid once your referral completes 150 hours.
