The Opportunity
You'll take projects from initial client brief through to completion, developing innovative design solutions and ensuring exceptional quality throughout the design process.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Project Guardianship. You will have ownership of projects and be responsible for all aspects of design from the initial instruction through to handover
- Taking detailed Client briefs, determining the extent of the required works and discussing budgets and limitations.
- Developing concept designs, mood boards, masterplans and detailed design packages
- Producing innovative, design-led solutions that challenge convention and exceed client expectations
- Creating thoughtful planting schemes with a strong understanding of ecology and horticulture
- Presenting proposals confidently to clients and stakeholders
- Managing project design through planning, technical development and site delivery
- Working closely with contractors, consultants and suppliers
About You
You'll be an experienced Garden Designer or Landscape Architect with a strong portfolio and a passion for creating outstanding landscapes.
You'll ideally have:
- A degree, diploma or equivalent qualification in Garden Design or Landscape Architecture
- 5+ years' PQE professional experience delivering high-quality landscape projects
- Exceptional design ability from concept through to technical detailing
- Strong graphic, visualisation and presentation skills
- Excellent horticultural and planting knowledge
- Experience presenting directly to clients and managing relationships
- Proficiency in Vectorworks, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
- The confidence to lead projects independently
