Graduate Project Engineer

Location: Hemerdon Mine, South Devon
Job Type: Permanent

About Us

Tungsten West plc is restarting the world-class Hemerdon Tungsten-Tin Mine in South Devon. Join us as we bring one of the world's largest tungsten resources back into production and help shape the future of UK mining.

** This role requires you to pass a Drug and Alcohol test on day one **

The Role

We're looking for a motivated Junior Project Engineer to support the delivery of engineering and capital projects across our mining and processing operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands-on project experience while working alongside experienced engineers and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

Support the planning and delivery of engineering projects.
Prepare project documentation, schedules and progress reports.
Monitor project costs, timelines and key milestones.
Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, HSE, Procurement and external contractors.
Review engineering drawings and technical documents.
Participate in site inspections, commissioning and project handovers.
Maintain project records and document control.
Ensure projects are delivered safely and in line with company standards.
Assist with cost estimates, purchase requisitions and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You'll have:

A Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
Good Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Word.
The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
A full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

Placement, internship or graduate experience in mining, construction, manufacturing or heavy industry.
Knowledge of project management principles.
Experience with AutoCAD or similar software.
Understanding of CDM Regulations and engineering safety standards.
