At Stoke Damerel Community College, we're looking for a committed Weekend Cleaner to join our premises team. You'll play an important role in creating an environment where pupils can focus on learning, staff can teach effectively and visitors are welcomed into a school they can be proud of.

About the Role

As a Weekend Cleaner, you will help maintain high standards of cleanliness across our school buildings, ensuring pupils, staff and visitors enjoy a safe, clean and welcoming environment. Working as part of our dedicated premises team, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the school and creating a positive environment where everyone can thrive.

Main duties of the role include:

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across classrooms, offices and communal areas to provide a safe, welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
Carrying out a range of cleaning duties, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing and emptying litter bins to ensure facilities are well presented.
Working as part of the premises team to maintain a safe and secure school, reporting maintenance issues and ensuring areas are left clean, tidy and secure.

We are looking for an individual who:

Takes pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Is reliable, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Has good communication skills and an awareness of health and safety practices.
